XMASS message 2019
Already in December ! The year went by so fast and a new one is about to begin.
During our mission last May/June, we distributed school supplies and uniforms to nearly 1,000 children. In addition, since many students have completed high school, we added 45 new young ones to the group we are helping. Twenty-five others from another part of Burundi will join them in January 2020.
A girl, whom we have been following since grade 2, is now enrolled in University. Four others follow vocational training.
My School Bag tries to evolve alongside the children We care about their future so we started offering them equipment to start small businesses.
In fact, in 2 different containers, we have sent sewing machines. We took the opportunity to add sporting equipment and many rewards to emphasize their dedicated efforts in the classrooms.
Next December 28th, Solange Choquette and Corinne Chatel will go to Burundi to meet and spoil these young people who deserve so much.
It will be Christmas for them too.
